_I was so fascinated and inspired when I met Charlie Lim during the Grand Romance Wedding Fair 2011 at Suntec Convention Centre a month ago.

"Charlie is a man of varied talents and foresight. He is professionally trained in Advertising Art and Commercial photography.  He took up commercial photography to enhance himself to be a better Art Director then.   Fate has its way of changing his life and Charlie has been a professional photographer for the last 30 years. Since then, he has worked on a vast array of international projects, ranging from food and fashion to corporate and industrial photography.

An artist at heart, Charlie continued to pursue his love of art.  Photography to Charlie is only a form of recording and unless you enhance it, it will never be an art.  With this mentalilty, Charlie never stops finding opportunities to blur the lines between fine art and commercial photography. Through years of research and study. Charlie has developed a new photography style which he calls 'Oil-Painting' photography.  Using one light source to illuminate and paint the subject in the dark.  Charlie creates an astounding visual effect of an Oil-Painting photograph that resembles Rembrandts oil painting."
