So this is my first post in a while, infact it’s my first proper post in 2012! December was a busy month, I was down in England for 5 days for a new store opening at work. I had a great time. Then it was Christmas that I spent very hungover after drinking far too much the night before when I was out. I done pretty well for Christmas, lots of sweets and a new laptop. I also got myself a new contract phone a few days before. Then it was New year! Which believe it or not is my favorite time of the year, why? It’s my favorite because it’s the biggest party of the whole year, loud music, lots of people and a lot of alcohol. I went out to a pub/club where there was 480 people on the night, I spent lots of money and drunk lots of drink. When it closed at 3AM I staggered along to a party. In the first few days of January since I had a new laptop I converted my old desktop into an Ubuntu web server. I’m very experienced in Linux so this was a doddle, the new laptop is Windows 7 (for now). 2011: Well what can I say about 2011? It was a year of ups and downs, with a lot of happiness but also a lot of pain. I got the job I’m in now after spending almost a year jobless which was absolute hell. Getting my job was a huge weight off my shoulders and made life a lot easier for me as well as giving me some cash to spend. I turned 19 this year and realised that this is my last teenage year. Quite saddened that it’s went so quickly but there’s still a lot more fun to come! Possibly the biggest thing that happened in 2011 was splitting up with my girlfriend. We were together for 2 years and we split up a few days after I hit 19 but also on our 2 year anniversary. I did love her a lot and we had great times together along with memories that will stay with me forever. It knocked me back quite a bit after it happened but I made sure it didn’t affect my work. I shut down my old Linux website a few days later and refused to talk to anyone. It’s safe to say I’ve recovered well, have got back back into working with my websites and done nothing but advance in my job. I also drink, party, see my friends and get out more often and plan to do so much more in 2012! I also have plans for more website work and one other thing that I’ve always wanted to do! So yeah, 2011 had it’s ups and downs but it’s ended well and things can only get better in 2012! 2012: Most people have a new years resolution; although I wouldn’t say I have a resolution as such there’s a few things I’d like to achieve in 2012. The first thing I’d like to achieve is work related, I’ll work as hard as I can in my management training and hopefully get offered a supervisor or management position, if not I can leave with the training under my belt and get a good job elsewhere. The second thing I’d like to do is laugh more and party harder and more often. I didn’t do enough of this in 2011 so would like to make the most of being single while I am. The third thing I’d like to do is blog more often, maybe rebuild this site or blog, get involved with more web projects and build new websites. The fourth thing I’d like to do is to continue to learn something new everyday like I do now. The final thing I’d like to do in 2012 is to build my own Linux based distribution, I can produce websites professionally and feel with my knowledge, background and experience with Linux I could build a nice, clean, snappy and productive OS. More about this coming soon! It’s good to be back, you can expect much more posts and development from me this year! Happy New Year! Add Comment |
