So here in the UK it's valentines day in 6 hours. As its fast approaching it gives me time to reflect on the changes in my life that have taken place since last Valentines day. A lot has changed some good and some bad. Last year at this time I had no job, no money, no websites, blogs or any experience in anything like this. I did however have a girlfriend. 

In May 2011 I finally got my big break and managed to get a job which is very tough in the current economic climate in the UK. In September 2011 I started blogging, about a month later I started building fully fledged websites, learning SEO, server configurations, domain name systems and lots more. 

I now know just about everything there is to know about building websites, SEO and much more and only started learning about 4 months ago. I've developed my skills in web development very quickly and can only keep learning. 

So many people are alone on valentines day and it can be upsetting, but after looking at how things were a year ago I have so much more now than I did have last year. I have my job, my web development skills, money and a better social life. Yes I will be alone but I'm happy with that, patience is a virtue and when it comes to love you just have to remember that it happens when you least expect it. 

Be patient and never give up, have a little look at how things have changed in the last year and embrace all the new things you've learned in life. There's someone for everyone and it's all just about waiting for them to come along, you'll know when it happens!
